15 MINUTES LYRICS

She checks her schedule, slips into the latest style in jeans

And wonders when she’s going to slip into the in-betweens

She paints her hair, she paints her nails, she paints her face

Hoping that her image keeps up to pace

Puts on a video and starts to sing along

The song is cool, but the images are all wrong

She says,

“One day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience.”

“One day, some day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience.”

“The audience, the audience.”

Waking up he drags into the latest style in jeans

And thinks about the places that he wants to be seen

He checks his stock, he checks his mail, he checks his hair

He puts on those glasses John Lennon used to wear

Checks out his girlfriend on the television screen

Records a message on his answering machine

He says,

“One day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience.”

“One day, some day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience.”

“One day, some day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience.”

“The audience, the audience.”

Oh, to be prostrate in a chair

Not to worry about your hair

Or the clothes that you have to wear

Lots of time to spare

Fifteen minutes without a care

They say,

"One day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience."

"One day, some day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience."

"One day, some day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience."

"One day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience."

"One day, some day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience."

"One day, some day we will all be stars, wishing we were in the audience."

"The audience, the audience."
